Abachev Esedulla Abdulmuminovich

Esedulla Abachev is a Lieutenant General; since March 2024, Russian sources have referred to him as Deputy Commander of the Leningrad Military District forces.

Esedulla Abachev is suspected by the SBU of waging an aggressive war against Ukraine and taking actions aimed at changing its borders, resulting in grave consequences. Commanding the 2nd Army Corps of the "LNR," he led units that actively participated in assault operations in the Donbas, which were characterized by significant personnel losses, including mobilized personnel from the occupied territories, indicating the use of "meat assault" tactics. Under his command, shelling of populated areas was carried out, leading to destruction and civilian casualties. His actions contributed to the occupation of territories and systematic violations of international humanitarian law.
