Babayan Roman Georgievich (born December 7, 1967, Baku) is a Russian television journalist and radio host, since June 24, 2019, editor-in-chief of the radio station 'Govorit Moskva', host of the talk show 'Svoya Pravda' on NTV; previously hosted the program 'Pravo Golosa' on 'Tretiy Kanal' and TV Tsentr (2009–2019).
Since September 8, 2019, he has been a deputy of the Moscow City Duma of the VII convocation representing the districts of Filevsky Park, Khoroshevo-Mnevniki, and Shchukino.
ru), he claimed that Donbas residents universally desire to join Russia, questioned Ukraine's territorial integrity, accused Ukrainian authorities of 'genocide' against the Russian-speaking population of Donbas, and supported the Kremlin's narrative of a 'fascist regime' in Kyiv, in confirmation of which he showed a video recording with soldiers under a Nazi naval flag, presenting them as Ukrainian military personnel.
