Chaiko Aleksandr Yurevich is a Colonel General, Commander-in-Chief of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of Russia. According to open registries, he is directly involved in Russia's full-scale military invasion of Ukraine – he commanded the 'Vostok' (East) troop grouping.
From February to April 2022, he directed the actions of subordinate forces during the operation to capture Kyiv from the western direction.
