Frolenkov Andrey Anatolevich

Frolenkov Andrei Anatolevich is a colonel, deputy commander of the detachment — Mobile Special Purpose Detachment (OMON) "Arsenal" of the Rosgvardiya Directorate for Bryansk Oblast. According to open registries, he took direct part in Russia's full-scale military invasion of Ukraine.

From February 24 to March 31, 2022, he commanded the Mobile Special Purpose Detachment (OMON) "ARSENAL" of the FSVNG RF Directorate for Bryansk Oblast, a tactical group of the Mobile Reserve of the operational group of Russian National Guard troops, as part of the "Vostok" (East) grouping of forces during the operation to seize the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant (ChNPP) and settlements in Kyiv Oblast.

On February 24, 2022, the unit under Andrei Frolenkov's command invaded Ukraine from the territory of Belarus through the ChNPP exclusion zone, seized and held the station under its control until March 31, 2022.

During this time, the normal work of ChNPP specialists was disrupted, and transport infrastructure was destroyed (a bridge in the exclusion zone was blown up, and a labyrinth of anti-personnel mines was installed around the inactive station).
