Ivanov Alexander Alekseevich

Ivanov Aleksandr Alekseevich is a Private, BM-21 Grad gunner — military unit 08275 — 200th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 14th Army Corps of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Navy. According to open registries, he took direct part in hostilities in Kharkiv Oblast as part of the battalion tactical group of the 200th Motorized Rifle Brigade.

He is accused of violating the laws and customs of war. On February 24, driver-loader of a Grad combat vehicle Aleksandr Bobykin and gunner Aleksandr Ivanov participated in two shellings of Kharkiv Oblast — from the village of Malinovka, Belgorod Oblast, Russia, and from the territory of Ukraine.

The identities of the commanders who gave the orders are being established. Bobykin and Ivanov were taken prisoner shortly after their convoy was destroyed on February 24, 2022.

Ivanov surrendered immediately, while Bobykin, who was wounded, hid for several more days in the "Solnechny" children's health complex on the outskirts of Kharkiv, and then in an empty apartment. The Russian servicemen fully admitted their guilt during the court hearing.

On May 31, 2022, the Kotelevsky District Court of Poltava Oblast sentenced them to 11 years and 6 months of imprisonment.
