Klimenko Viktor Viktorovich

Klimenko Viktor Viktorovich is a Lieutenant, platoon commander — military unit 42091 — of the 108th Air Assault Regiment of the 7th Air Assault Division of the Airborne Forces of the Russian Armed Forces. According to open registries, he directly participated in Russia's full-scale military invasion of Ukraine.

He is involved in committing war crimes against the civilian population.

Specifically, on March 21, 2022, Klimenko Viktor, Manzhiev Arltan, and other as-yet-unidentified servicemen of the 108th Air Assault Regiment of the 7th Air Assault Division of the Airborne Forces of the Russian Armed Forces detained, tortured, and killed a civilian citizen of Ukraine in the village of Novopetrivka, Bashtanka district, Mykolaiv region.

The victim was beaten with hands, feet, a rifle butt, had his teeth filed down with a file, and his fingers chopped off with a sapper shovel. To conceal the facts of torture, Manzhiev and Klimenko took the Ukrainian citizen to an irrigation canal near Mykolaiv and shot him.

Also, on March 21, 2022, Klimenko, together with Manzhiev, in the village of Novopetrivka, Bashtanka district, Mykolaiv region, threatened another civilian citizen of Ukraine with murder, beat him, and unlawfully deprived him of liberty.

On May 20, 2024, Manzhiev was notified of suspicion under Part 1, Article 28, Part 2, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — cruel treatment of the civilian population combined with intentional murder committed by a group of persons, and Part 1, Article 28, Part 1, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — cruel treatment of the civilian population committed by a group of persons.
