The Garrison Military Court in St. Petersburg sentenced former head of the Automotive and Armored Vehicle Service of the Central Military District, Major General Denis Putilov, to 8.5 years in a strict-regime colony for receiving a bribe of 10 million rubles for patronage in the execution of Ministry of Defense contracts for the repair and maintenance of military equipment (2023–2024, over 140 million rubles). He was stripped of his Major General rank and the right to hold administrative positions in state bodies for 6 years after his release.
