Died during Russia's invasion of Ukraine on the same day as two other senior officers of the 106th Division — Kuzminov and Kudrin. The death coincides with the date of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strike on July 8, 2022, on the command post of the 106th Division in the Shakhtarsk area (Donetsk Oblast), after which, according to the Ukrainian side, only one deputy division commander survived.
