The 102nd Russian military base is an air defense and ground forces formation of the Russian Federation in Armenia (garrison cities Gyumri and Yerevan), performing combat duty within the CIS Joint Air Defense System under the 1995 interstate treaty. As of February 2025, Colonel Alexander Bezborodov commands the base; direct confirmed data on the base's participation in the war against Ukraine has still not been found in open sources — as in previous research passes, the base geographically performs tasks of covering the airspace of Transcaucasia.
