The 60th Separate Red Banner Motorized Rifle Brigade was created on the basis of the 218th Red Banner Tank Regiment of the 127th Machine Gun Artillery Division and is part of the 5th Guards Army of the Eastern Military District (VVO). As part of the troop grouping, the brigade conducted offensive battles west of Staromaiorske in the Vremivka direction in early May 2024, and in December 2025, units of the brigade participated in the operation to liberate Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
