The 150th Guards Motorized Rifle Division is a Rostov-based formation of the 8th Army of the Southern Military District, which participated in the siege and assault of Mariupol in 2022, where, according to Ukrainian data, its commander Major General Oleg Mityaev was killed. The battles for Mariupol are widely documented by international observers as having been accompanied by war crimes; subsequently, the division fought in the Marinka and Kurakhove directions, receiving the honorary title "Guards" in 2024.

Involvement in crimes / areas of activity
The 150th Guards Idritsa-Berlin Motorized Rifle Division was formed on December 1, 2016, and is part of the 8th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District. Since the beginning of the invasion in 2022, the division participated in the blockade and assault of Mariupol as part of the "South" grouping; according to the Ukrainian side, during an attempt to storm the city, the division commander Major General Oleg Mityaev was killed. The battles for Mariupol, in which the 8th Army (and, presumably, the 150th Division) participated, were accompanied by widely documented accusations of war crimes, including an airstrike on a maternity hospital and children's hospital (at least 17 wounded). On August 5, 2024, the division was awarded the honorary title "Guards." In 2023–2025, the division advanced in the Marinka, then Kurakhove and Kostiantynivka directions.
