The 100th (Mozdok) Reconnaissance Brigade is an experimental formation established in 2009 based on GRU special forces and air assault units. Since 2022, it has been fighting as part of the "Dnepr" grouping, using kamikaze drones and reconnaissance UAVs against Ukrainian armored vehicles and reconnaissance groups; in 2023, it received the Guards title. The name of the current brigade commander has not been established in open sources.
