It has participated in Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine since February 2022 as part of the 2nd Guards Taman Division (blocking Kyiv from the north from Chernihiv Oblast, then the Kharkiv direction). According to "Novaya Gazeta Europa," citing "Mediazona" (October 25, 2022), mobilized reservists of the Taman Division in the Kharkiv direction were left by commanders almost without weapons and ammunition on the front line, after which they retreated and took shelter in an empty house. The independent war crimes accounting project "Knyha Kativ" (Book of Executioners) confirms the participation of the regiment's servicemen (including Deputy Commander for Military-Political Work Major Alexander Shchyotkin, who was subsequently killed) in the open military invasion of Ukraine.
