The 27th Guards Motorized Rifle Omsk-Novobugskaya Red Banner Division (Totskoye, 2nd Guards Army) operated in the Pokrovsk direction in 2024–2025 (Ocheretyne, April 2024; Selydove; Novovasylivka, February 2025) under the command of Colonel (Major General since February 2025) Alexander Bugriy. A Dossier Center investigation, 'Minus Division' (2026), based on personnel lists for 2024 – January 2025 obtained from a deserting Captain Oleg Miller, revealed catastrophic rotation: 28,234 servicemen passed through the division, which has a nominal strength of 12–14 thousand people, in one year, indicating approximately 5,000 killed and missing in action and around 10,000 severely wounded (a total of about 15,000 irrecoverable and incapacitated losses in one year).

On August 28, 2024, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov congratulated the division's 589th and 433rd Motorized Rifle Regiments on the liberation of Orlivka; in early February 2025, the division's assault groups occupied Novovasylivka in the Dnipropetrovsk direction, and on October 22, 2025, they occupied Lenino (Molodetske). The Dossier Center investigation, 'Minus Division,' based on leaked personal lists of the division (documents provided by deserting Captain Oleg Miller, covering the period from early 2024 to January 2025), established that 28,234 servicemen passed through the division in one year — almost twice its authorized strength, and a new contract soldier's chance of remaining unharmed was less than 25%. The division's 433rd Motorized Rifle Regiment was particularly affected: 6,857 people passed through it in one year, with the regiment losing more personnel killed than it initially had on its roster.
