The 448th Missile Brigade (military unit 35535, Kursk Oblast), armed with Iskander-M OTRK, is one of the key strike missile formations of the Western Military District; in April 2025, the brigade launched a missile strike on Sumy, after which its base in Klyukva was attacked by the Defense Forces of Ukraine.






The 448th Missile Brigade named after S. P. Nepobedimy is a formation of the 20th Guards Combined Arms Army, Western Military District, equipped with Iskander-M operational-tactical missile systems since 2019; it was previously recognized as the best missile formation of the Russian Armed Forces (2017). During the war against Ukraine, the brigade uses Iskanders against Ukrainian territory: specifically, on April 13, 2025 ('Palm Sunday'), its missiles were launched at Sumy. On the night of April 15, 2025, the Defense Forces of Ukraine launched a retaliatory strike on the brigade's permanent deployment point in the village of Klyukva, Kursk Oblast.
