The 18th Guards Army Aviation Brigade (military unit 42838) traces its history from the 265th Air Base (2010) through the 573rd Air Base to the brigade formed in 2017 as part of the 11th Air Force and Air Defense Army. Its armament includes various modifications of Mi-8, Ka-52 and Mi-26 attack helicopters, as well as An-12, An-26, and Tu-134 transport aircraft; the 12th Aircraft Repair Plant is also located at the airfield.
