The 127th Guards Motorized Rifle Division is a Far Eastern formation of the 5th Combined Arms Army of the Eastern Military District, re-established in 2018. In the war against Ukraine, it operates on the South Donetsk direction as part of the 'Vostok' group, and in 2023, it participated in repelling the Ukrainian counteroffensive in this sector of the front.

The 127th Guards Motorized Rifle Order of Kutuzov Division was created on December 1, 2018, based on the 59th Motorized Rifle Brigade (Far East), and is part of the 5th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Eastern Military District. As part of the 'Vostok' group of forces, the division fought on the South Donetsk direction of the front; in 2023, its units participated in repelling an attempted Ukrainian offensive in this direction.
