The 11th Separate Guards Engineer Brigade (Kamensk-Shakhtinsky) provides engineering support to the troops of the Southern Military District. Since 2022, it has been involved in the Kherson direction under the command of Colonel Dmitry Markov, whom the Ukrainian sanctions registry and the RussianWarCriminals project link to the leadership of the brigade's units within the 'South' group.

Involvement in crimes / areas of activity
The brigade was created in 2011 on the basis of the 140th Separate Guards Engineer-Sapper Regiment. Individual servicemen and equipment of the brigade were mentioned by Ukrainian media as early as 2016 in the context of combat operations in eastern Ukraine. Since 2022, the brigade has participated in the full-scale invasion, operating, in particular, in the Kherson direction as part of the 'South' group of forces. According to the Ukrainian sanctions registry and the human rights project RussianWarCriminals, the brigade commander, Colonel Dmitry Markov, directly commanded the brigade's units attached to the 'South' group and supervised the actions of subordinate units in the southern direction, including work near the dam of the North Crimean Canal.
