The unit is listed in the open-source database of Russian formations participating in the war against Ukraine (InformNapalm). Public data regarding its deployment, command, or confirmed incidents has not been identified to date.
The brigade has appeared in InformNapalm investigations since May 2015: its artillerymen were identified in a grouping near a border camp in Millerovo, Rostov Oblast, during the period of fighting in Donbas. In March 2016, the brigade's personnel were located in Syria in the Palmyra area – based on geotags in photographs 10 km west of the city, along with Msta-B howitzers. Before the invasion on February 24, 2022, units of the brigade, as part of the 41st Combined Arms Army, were redeployed to the border with Ukraine; from the first hours of the invasion, the 41st Army advanced on the Kyiv direction from the junction of the borders of Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus.
