The 43rd Center for Combat Employment and Retraining of Flight Personnel (long-range aviation personnel) is a training and methodological center of the Long-Range Aviation Command of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which trains and retrains crews of strategic and long-range aviation (Tu-22M3, Tu-95MS, etc.). In 2009, it incorporated the 203rd Separate Guards Air Refueling Regiment, the 132nd Aviation Technical Base, as well as an air commandant's office in Kamensk-Uralsky and an airbase in Tambov. No direct documented evidence of the center itself participating as a combat unit in strikes against Ukraine has been found — its main function is training and methodological, but it prepares crews who subsequently carry out combat sorties of long-range aviation against Ukraine.
