According to open registries, he took direct part in Russia's full-scale military invasion of Ukraine.
He violated the laws and customs of war in the Chernihiv Raion of Chernihiv Oblast. Together with other Russian Armed Forces personnel, he forcibly held 347 civilians, including 77 children, in inhumane conditions in a school basement during March 2022. Due to inhumane and cruel treatment, 10 civilians died. He threatened civilians with murder.
He is being prosecuted in absentia for criminal liability.
