Gritsay Alexey Vladimirovich

Gritsai Aleksei Vladimirovich is a Lieutenant, commander of an aviation detachment of an aviation squadron (on Tu-95MS) – Military Unit 85927 – 121st Heavy Bomber Aviation Regiment of the 22nd Heavy Bomber Aviation Division of Long-Range Aviation of the Air Force of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Armed Forces.

According to open registry data, while serving as commander of an aviation detachment of an aviation squadron (on Tu-95MS aircraft) of the 121st Heavy Bomber Aviation Regiment of the 22nd Heavy Bomber Aviation Division of Long-Range Aviation of the Air Force of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Armed Forces, he directly managed the actions of subordinate crews and personally participated in combat sorties.

There are reasonable grounds to believe that the individual is involved in organizing and directly executing criminal orders for launching air-launched cruise missiles at densely populated cities, energy and civilian infrastructure facilities that are not military targets.

These actions led to mass casualties among the civilian population and large-scale destruction, constituting a component of Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine and simultaneously containing signs of violations of the laws and customs of war.

In addition, the individual did not exercise the right to refuse to carry out a clearly criminal order, the obligation not to execute which is stipulated by norms of international law, thus becoming an accomplice to the crime.
