Gasanguliev Shamil Farkhadovich is a junior sergeant, squad leader — combat vehicle commander — military unit 74268 — 234th Air Assault Regiment of the 76th Air Assault Division of the Airborne Forces of the Russian Armed Forces.

According to open registries, while serving as squad leader — combat vehicle commander of the 234th Air Assault Regiment of the 76th Air Assault Division of the Airborne Forces of the Russian Armed Forces, he directly commanded the personnel of the squad and operated the combat vehicle, personally participating in ground combat operations on the territory of Ukraine.

There are reasonable grounds to believe that this individual is involved in committing war crimes against the civilian population during the occupation of settlements (particularly in Kyiv Oblast, Bucha), including the use of weapons against civilians, cruel treatment, illegal detentions, and participation in punitive measures.

These actions are an integral part of Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine and simultaneously contain signs of grave violations of the laws and customs of war.

Furthermore, the individual did not exercise the right to refuse to carry out a clearly criminal order, the obligation not to execute which is stipulated by norms of international law, thereby becoming an accomplice to the crime. The individual has been notified of suspicion under Part 1, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
