According to open registries, while serving as squad leader — combat vehicle commander of the 234th Air Assault Regiment of the 76th Air Assault Division of the Airborne Forces of the Russian Armed Forces, he directly commanded the personnel of the squad and operated the combat vehicle, personally participating in ground combat operations on the territory of Ukraine.
